Surface-Supplied Diving (SSA)
futuristic looking helmets, pressurized suits, air hoses, life-support systems, bone-crushing pressures, freezing temperatures, no breathable atmosphere… this can describe both the world of the deep sea diver and the astronaut. to go to space we must frist go underwater.
just as government space agencies train their astronauts, you will learn about underwater training first. the methods and procedures you will master will be repeated in space. the projects you practice on underwater will mimic those you work on in space or on the moon.
Learn about dive medicine and what symptoms to look for when people have traveled between atmospheres. Learn to recognize the danger signs of someone that has decompression sickness or any other detrimental effect of atmosphere transfer.
